Description of research program

My research interests are in the spectral theory of Schrödinger operators and related operators from Mathematical Physics. My current work on Schrödinger operators with random potentials is motivated by the quantum mechanical study of disordered media. A central goal is to understand the localization-delocalization phase transition in the Anderson model. In spectral theoretic terms this roughly corresponds to the transition from absolutely continuous spectrum to dense pure point spectrum under increasing disorder.
