The movie "Eréndira" is a combination of the two themes of freedom and slavery. During the movie, Eréndira is her grandmother's slave. The only way for her to be free was to repay the large amount of money to her grandmother. It's interesting to see this problem and compare it to the world of today. People today have so much freedom and to see a grandmother making her granddaughter become a prostitute is very uncommon. Since Eréndira was a child, she had the responsibility of having to help her grandmother. When Ulysses came to help Eréndira become free, Eréndira took the opportunity to be herself for the first time. The movie teaches the each person needs to find themselves first before finding true happiness. This movie is very good for young people who fall in love early, only to find that a large part of happiness is being able to make yourself happy first. |
